Obvious movie thread

Post by Brody »

I think TC would be an excellent twist on the fantasy genre, having such an anti-hero and all that!!! My dad got me onto the books when I was about 15! Any suggestions for actors etc?
I always saw Thomas as Jeremy Irons for some reason!?

I saw "21 Grams" this week, and suddenly, in the theatre, I knew it: Sean Penn!!!
Naomi Watts as Linden wouldn't be too bad either.

There is an interesting discussion on this in the Thomas Covenant forum, which I shall bump up for you presently, if no-one else has already :)

Ok, it's bumped. Looks like it's a mighty 20-pager :o You can view it/add your thoughts here: kevinswatch.ihugny.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=45

Ralph Fiennes as TC
The reality is in this head. Mine. I'm the projector at the planetarium, all the closed little universe visible in the circle of that stage is coming out of my mouth, eyes, and sometimes other orifices also.

No, I just can't see it. I don't like Fiennes that much as an actor.

Time for a Deathmatch?! 8)

You're quite welcome. Don't worry about "barging in" either - make yourself at home, you'll soon learn your way around. If there's anything you want to know, feel free to drop a Private Message to someone...we're all pretty approachable here. Welcome aboard!

An early 70s, mid-70s Anthony Hopkins was SRD's choice to play Thomas Covenant. Ralph Fiennes is one of my all-time favorite actors, and that's why I wouldn't want him as TC. I wouldn't be able to get that picture of him out of my head from Schindler's List.

Heh, I'm kidding Brody... Danlo's an excellent person. But don't get on his bad side... :hairs: It may be the last thing you do...
