Had to vote for Nom just based on the OSF for me personally. I remember the first reading when TC said that word I was like WTF????? and then the imagery of the sand gorgon spiinnning toward them i was like damn what is this thing and had to keep reading (although that is much of the Chronicles for ...

Cast mine for Bannor, when I first read the Chronicles at age 14 I could not get over his demeanor and his utter belief in self and service.

Another thing to think about is how this would effect the Land similar to the summoning of Elena and Berek.......what will be the consequences of her decision to bring back TC?? Remember in the Land there are consequences to everyones choices.

Well the big one to challenge the Guardian...I mena your talking about it is a fight to the death and he HAD to see if he was up to the challenge. Also IIRC he was the Bloodguard that made the decisions on who and how the defense of TC would happen in the second series. Now forgive me if I'm wrong I...

The moniker non withstanding I would have to go with Bannor---he was the reason i fell in love with the series to begin with. IMHO he drove the first series, except for TC, it was Bannor who had to help TC get thru many decisions et al. Yes Foamfollower was also there, but I just feel the Bannor dro...

You're thinking rugby players Tazz, not actors, and most of them are from various Pacific nations as opposed to being Maori. On the other hand, Peter Jackson left a plethora of Maori stunt-doubles and extras looking for work in New Zealand. Problem Solved!!!!! And maybe they could use Ste...

I have given a lot of thought to this in my minds eye----over 20 yrs of reading and re-reading the series, and I have to go with the South pacific ethnic backround as well. Now I always pictured them as nimble, even lithe like a gymnast, but as the quote stated they reminded TC of the Stonedowners. ...

I'll kick it off. Last night my daughters were watching the Christmas classic Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. And I thought to myself: Self, this story is just like the Chronicles of Thomas Covenant! You've got your pariah character (Rudolph), disfigured by a physical handicap (red nose), outcast b...

1st Chrons would hav to go with Bannor and Mhoram in a tie for first. I love the way each had their own definitive personality--very detailed and really the second series of books that I read in my life that gave characters life (after LOTR). 2nd Chrons well I beleive that the ID states it all---LOL...

I realte to the haruchai---hence the moniker. I liek to think of myself as noble and moral and have a purpose, but in the end I fall short of these lofty ideals.

How about an Abercrombiesh design with a fictional tavern name and give the location as Mithil Stonedown---that way you could use your own art work?

As for simple tag lines what about Got Staff? or maybe My other ride is a Rahynyn?

Instead of a movie.......

how about a mini series on the sci-fi channel? This would allow for a lot more time (think band of BRothers) and still could retain some of the production quality of a big movie. This avenue seems yet to be explored---what do you think?
