You should be a good boy and buy your books and stuff in a shop. What do you think Mr Donaldson earns if people buy his stuff second-hand online? How is this man supposed to pay his bills, feed his family and be able to buy typewriter-ribbons to continue writing TLC if no one buys NEW copies in sho...

I hate you..well not you the forum: and 2 Atlas sightings

Greetings, I just finished up the entire published series of TC as we have it for the 37th time and I sit with hands shaking and lip quivering once again. Why? Because even though I knew it was coming, he still was able to make me curse and praise his name at the same time. I hate you, and I adore y...

The reason that magick is spelled with a K is to differentiate it and magic that an illusionist does, as just one example.

Real magick, by the way, can be created by those that follow a certain path, be it wiccan, pagan or other such ideological pursuits.

Cheers,

1983 I was on an 8 hour delay at an airport in Chicago, so I wandered into this very nice book shop a few blocks away and started perusing anything fantasy. The woman there asked me what I was into and when I told her, she mentioned Piers Anthony. In later years, I read his masterwork, the Incarnate...

The Sixth Ward ...

So after a visit to my best friends house for Christmas, and eating enough turkey for the entire Realm, I decided to come home and read The Runes of the Earth for the 7th time. It was somewhere between Roger having a conversation with Linden that I dozed off...... I thought I'd woken up and was on m...

Hi Guys, Jay, I was looking for the image of Drool Rockworm, and some of the "paintings" made mention of in a few other threads. I've seen the large painting from runes of the earth - though not as close up as I'd like 8) - in the one fest posting within the Album itself. My reason for ask...

The Album...question

Greetings,

In perusing KW after a long hiatus, I've discovered quite a few references to the ALBUM link, and specifically images in the TCTC section, yet I'm not able to find this section.

Has my hiatus from KW simply blinded me and I'm unable to find it ?

Many thanks,

Runs across desert, passing Sandgorgon named Nom, sticks tongue out, and speeds on buy to nearest "Sign me up now" booth.

Keep an eye on Ebay for Buy it now auctions - every once in a while - read about once every few months - you'll find a hardback of the first series on there. I've also got some contacts overseas who search old book stores for me from time to time, and Donaldson, Tolkien and Salvatore are always high...

Now, whats really going to freak us out is since the Law of Death has been corrupted, and Foul will attack Time in the upcoming series.. Just how much of the Past will be resurrected ? What other Laws will be corrupted in the Last Chronicles? The rift of time is a balance between the past, the futur...

Lol, that would have been my response, although I'm sure those of you 10 states away would have wondered what all the screaming was about coming from the general direction of Ohio. I'd love to read Runes, BUT I have this tendency to buy a book, read it in a day, and then go into deep depression wait...

Another thought on Time - Illearth War ponderings - spoilers

So, in re-reading Book 2 - The Illearth War, SRD shows a fairly exact amount of time passing before Thomas Covenant returns to the land. Now while I realize that other books in the series tend to give different numbers for time in real world - thus confusing most mathematical attempts, I really thin...

Its just a theory... Through the use of the 8th Ward, one person whom is in constant communication with the Land is our own Lord Stephen. Those whom need history remembered and written simply contact him and thus the words are saved. He has a magical pen, which uses a lost art, and it constantly wri...

First off, Many thanks for all of the warm greetings and hearty welcomes to the Watch. It does my heart good to know that the Watch is a place of friendship and companionship - but then again - we are speaking of one of the greatest series of books written in the last hundred years, so it goes witho...

Ok, I could certainly go with Symphony X's " Divine Wings of Tragedy" - a 24 minute opus that has the fastest/cleanest guitarist in the world - Michael Romeo, but I'm sorry to say that a movie soundtrack for TC would have to be classical in nature. As well, SRD has written lyrics throughou...

This is odd, just plain odd. I've had dreamstates like yours, but mine are a world like The Land - but with more water, and a larger variance in temperate regions. In many instances, I feel like I've been awake for days while there, only to wake up 6 hours later here, and be totally drained. I've be...

Greetings, My absolute first post here, and having just finished the 2nd Chronicles for the 40th + time on Friday night, I decided I'd finally check online for information on SRD's books, collectables and the like. Mind you, I haven't really checked out SRD's website, not kept up to date with curren...
