I'm not sure if I ever mentioned it (yeah, right :)), but I love LeGuin's <I>Earthsea</I> stuff. I was stunned and saddened (dare I say outraged?) that there was not a single Earthsea quiz at that site! *sigh* OK, so here's what I'm going to submit. If anyone has any feedback before I do, I'd appreciate it.

Regarding this quiz in particular, which might influence how any of us make quizzes in the future, why was it tough? Most of the questions are pretty straight-forward, even if they are a little difficult. But a couple, the one about "stronger than any spell of healing" and "him they speak of as if he were a dragon" are lines/moments that I personally loved. (Although it does touch on Taoism in a couple of ways, and I think LeGuin would appreciate that that got across.) The question is, where is the line between an obscure question and something that just happened to catch my attention?

Well, I could make a good stab at MOST of the questions, but it's been a few years since I read through the whole thing, so some of them, like the dragon name one, kind of stumped me. I'll clearly have to reread these books and SOON. :D And Amber, too. :D

Yes! My quiz was taken for the first time at the site! Woo Hoo!!
But the person only got a 3! I hope this gives everyone the bug to read the books :)

Really!? The dragon one was one of few I knew...I haven't found all the books yet.
