oooooh b&b ~ sunburn sucks!! (((b&b)))

i got the worst sunburn a couple of years ago windsurfing!! no sunblock no nothing .. <has got to be brain damaged :?

it was a great day but .. followed by several weeks of hellish discomfort .. and you dont want clothes rubbing on that raw burned, sore skin .. :(

have u tried tomatoes?? .. rubbing them into your skin?? its supposed to assist with the pain .. though its benefit is only minimal methinks .. it makes people feel good to suggest you try it ..

Tomatoes have the same acetic acid in them as vinegar (if I remember correctly) Chemical composition of vinegar? CH3COOH (I kid you not) :)

8O I'm really glad that my skin won't burn. It must be something in the air here that makes people not get sunburnt. *shrug* When I lived in GA, I always used Aloe, just gotten from the plant, on burns. It worked really well. :)

Vain- 8O You can remember Chemical compositions??? You have a very good memory then, unlike me. :(
Beware of cutlery. It is violent. And sharp.

Vayne has a good siggy-sense. ;)

CH3COOH is Ethanoic acid, Vain, but that is what's in vinegar.

"Household Vinegar is about 3% acetic acid and 97% water (with a mixture of a small amount of few other chemicals). Acetic acid has the formula C2H4O2. So acetic acid has the elements Carbon (C), Hydrogen (H), and Oxygen (0)"

No wonder I almost flunked chemistry

strange - C2H3OH is ethanol, then you oxidate it to produce C2H4O2 - It has 2 Carbons (making in Ethan-) and COOH (Carboxylic acid functional group), so must be Ethanoic acid...

I only did this a month or two ago, and the exam was last week. Must be another name for it.
