I'll allow it!

"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

Led Zeppelin is the standard against which all other bands are compared, and are found lacking, IMHO.
Back in the 80s, when pop was pop and hair bands were all over the place, GnR came out with one of the most originals sounds ever. Axel Rose was a kick-a-- singer and Slash is one of my top 5 favorite guitarists. Appetite for Destruction was a cut above the rest of the music around at the time. GnR could have ruled the world. Instead, Rose became a snotty-nosed freak, and GnR went down in flames.

BURN McFLY!!!! BURN THEM ALL!!!
Led Zeppelin are the greatest, along with Pink Floyed, Rolling Stones, Deep Purple, etc.....
GnR are all right but i would not say they are 'outstanding' but they are good though

We are the invisible hand which holds the world. We strike with the power of a sword but with the agile and stealth of a snake.

AC/DC is going to be remembered as one of the greatest of all time, throw technical ability out the window. What makes a great band is a unique, but listenable sound. One of the greatest live acts of all time!Hell I like Bon and Brian,I like The Beatles, whatever brought this up in this thread?Anyway Angus is one of the greatest frontmen in rock history,he really makes the band. Be True
As I was cruising around I noticed this AC/DC thread as I also happen to be listening to the Highway to Hell album.Lowbrow as it may be an occasional dose is good for your soul.I like Bon and Brian-the only alternitive to finding a new singer/screacher was folding the band.Imagine the world of rock music without Back in Black or For Those About To Rock I believe they got the best fit in the world as a replacement.Being into ACDC is like getting two great bands in one.Rock on!And Angus rules!
"And now for something completely different".

There's been quite a few AC/DC songs I've liked in both the Bon Scott and Brian Johnson eras. My favorite AC/DC song will vary as I keep changing my mind, but for right now it's "Live Wire"!

Today, I'm feeling like hearing this song, and am enjoying its energy.
