Wow - this got by me somehow! 
So 'The Madman of the Keyboards' passes on. One of my great early musical loves, that big synth/organ bashfest that was ELP ......and one of my great sorrows that I never managed to see them live [nor Jethro Tull]. Anyone who has not experienced the frisson of hearing Greg Lake arguing with the computer ["But I gave you Life?"] at the end of Brain Salad Surgury - Karn Evil 9 IIRC - has never lived! The organs of the world may breath a collective sigh of relief [the man wasn't always kind to them in his performances] but for the rest of us the loss is a keen one.
