X-Men Apocalypse

Post by I'm Murrin »

X-Men Apocalypse is not a bad film, but it suffers from some unnecessary padding around the middle, mostly for reasons of fanservice. I mostly enjoyed it, and I wrote about the issues it had here:

I really loved this, and think it may be the best Xmen since the reboot.
Spoiler
How fast is Quicksilver? I never had the impression from the comics he was that fast, but he would have to approach light speed to save all of those mutants from the explosion.

Another thing - with all of the Rush references, "Tom Sawyer" would have been a better choice for that sequence, instead of "Sweet Dreams (are made of this.)"

Yeah he's a lot faster than in the comics. But that's OK.

The power levels being thrown around were awesome. Great to watch. The big final battle was amazing.

The Quicksilver scenes once again steal the show. I was happy to see Psylocke, too.

Yeah, Psylocke is... Well, I heard they had to oil her body to get the suit on.
