Yer only job
Is to redeem
And I'll know yer done by this:
"How does it seem?
So all ya gotta be
is perfect at work,
perfect at play,
Don't look like a jerk.
(Don't have a bad day!)
Buy the culture I like,
Wear the right clothes,
And carefully control
Any tales of yer woes.
Some say you might need
a good sacrifice.
I've thot about whut:
Yer kids would be nice!
But right at this moment,
don't do a ton.
Just leave me alone!
I've got work to get done!

Evil bad writing.

"People without hope not only don't write novels, but what is more to the point, they don't read them.
They don't take long looks at anything, because they lack the courage.
The way to despair is to refuse to have any kind of experience, and the novel, of course, is a way to have experience."
-Flannery O'Connor
"In spite of much that militates against quietness there are people who still read books. They are the people who keep me going."
-Elisabeth Elliot, Preface, "A Chance to Die: The Life and Legacy of Amy Carmichael"

His latest rhymes are...unexpected
But deer approves; it's not rejected
For those who missed the one deleted
Is there a chance it might be repeated?
Rhyming at nearly 98% success rate. Most impressive.

Spoiler
Yer only job; to match your symbol's myth!
The strength and guile to win the warrior's aim.
But no! Instead, we find the Dark Side's Sith,
Who thus destroys the rep your masters claim!
The horror of the failure cannot stand
Against the passion burning in your eyes.
And when, at last betrayal is at hand,
The "how" receives more import than the "whys."
But clearer heads may win the following day,
When one must cope with bearing with the loss.
And put aside the specter of dismay
One feels, as simple line becomes a cross.
And yet, the opaque future Hope portends!
The horse breaks forth; likewise the Trojan-ens.

I joked that it was so bad I felt violated. So the Doc felt compelled to honor the sanctity of my sensibilities. On second read, however, it's not as rapey as it seemed at first read. I'm glad he put it up because it is gratifyingly bad.
All right, last call. Any further contributions or do we call it a day?

I forgot it was a day.
Some great entries, and thanks to all. It was a toss-up between Linna's straightforward gambol and the Doc's spoiler-worthy double entendre, but in the end, Doctor Gamgee's was definitely Badder and therefore he wins the Gold. Congratulations!!

Wow....never expected that, but I'll offer up this:
I'm in charge of SyFy's next big show. Try to sell me on your idea for a new show giving me the opening scene I will want to know more of it. And the worse the story, the more I'll like it.
You have until Feb 10th. Better get procrastinating...
