Your dream band
Paul McCartney -- Lead vocals and bass (very underrated, melodic bass player)
Robert Fripp -- Lead guitar
Lou Reed -- Rhythm/Acoustic guitar and supporting vocals
Eddie Palmieri -- Keyboards
John Bonham -- Drums
Let's see . . . One Beatle, one progressive rock God, the force behind Velvet Underground, a jazz and Latin keyboardist, and a dead drummer who sounded like he used tree trunks instead of drumsticks. Eh, works for me.

"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

I don't imagine for a minute that they'd work well together, but for the purposes of this exercise, here they are. I'm loathed to leave out the likes of Stone Gossard, Eddie Vedder, Ian Brown, John Squire, Alison Goldfrapp, Beth Gibbons, Dominic Chad and P.J. Harvey though.
