dreams

Post by trance »

Dear friends,

Having dreamt last night that I was Lord Mohram fighting three ravers (for which I was rebuked by Lord Elena) I thought that the Land might be an interesting place to go in dreams (If you do not know how to do lucid or incubated dreams read the book dreaming realities for instance).

Also, if anyone is in the film industry or connected to it, following the Lord of the Rings, it might be an idea to turn the Chronicles into a film,

Be well,
Ghostcat

I once dreamt that I was in The Hobbit. Me and some friends went out to fight Smaug, and I was naturally the leader. Very nice dream. :D Wasn`t lucid though.

I'm on my way 2 work right now, but will have 2 come back and tell y'all about a series of dreams I had about the Chrons in 1980. They were so real that I was totally convinced they actually were part of the Chrons until I finally sat down and re-read. And when I did I kept saying 2 myself "Where the heck are those chapters I know they're in here somewhere..." It was quite unsettling 2 remember they were actually dreams! 8O 8)

Haven't dreamed about the Chronicles yet ... but about Harry Potter  ... and I've been practicing Gatotsu in dreams ...

Last night I dreamed about a friend and me talking about wether we're in love or not. I don't want to think about the meaning of this ... :?

i dreamt about the chrons once during my last re-read, though i don't remember what it was about. i hardly ever remember dreams except in sudden, random flashes or sometimes in deja-vu moments.

If you want to start remembering your dreams, Sylvanus, go to sleep with a piece of paper and a pen next to you. When you wake up, immidiately write down what you remember of your dreams. It works quite nicely.

I had a dream that I was the na-Mhoram. Very disturbing. Had to get a shrink. I got a crazy check too. :)

I had a dream recently where a setting from A Game of Thrones figured briefly. (One of those nights where I was up reading until 2 :) )

i've considered doing that, but i'm too lazy. not too lazy to write it, but too lazy to leave myself time to do anything except for shave, shower, and get dressed after i wake up. :) besides, what i do remember of my dreams is always kind of disturbing in a strange, jangling, sometimes bittersweet way... except for the three dreams i've had in which i died.

in the first one i became a ghost afterwards. that was kind of nifty but didn't last very long.

the second time i went to hell (i was very disappointed in that one, tried to tell the higher powers that it was a mistake). that one was disturbing. hell wasn't so bad. kind of like a big freaky basement. the trip there, tho... it felt like an eternity of torture packed into a few seconds. still gives me goosebumps thinking about it.

the third time i was reincarnated. now that one was cool. i was reincarnated about ten years before the point in time when i died. i swear it felt like i'd lived a whole ten year life. then when i reached the point where i died i became aware of my previous life, making my current life nearly insignificant.

spent a lot of time thinking about those and other dreams where i've been shot, stabbed, blown up by aliens, fallen off of cliffs and landed, and crushed by ogres, but somehow managed to live through it. the scariest dream i ever had makes no sense. there was a dead yak in my way and in order to get where i was going i had to jump over it. jumping over that yak filled me with a sense of complete and utter dread. *shrug*

in one dream i thought i woke up, realized later that i hadn't and couldn't make myself wake up, either. the only way to get out of the dream was to spell the words "dark park" on a scrabble board, but after i picked out all the letters they had all turned into k's.

oh, and one dream where i kissed a dead, asian (female) deity.

dreams r great...

i once had a dream aboutbeing a ghost... it was really vivid, 1st i was at school and i was running about, then 4 no reason, i died, and carried on running. but i soon discovered i could run faster if i stopped moving m legs and just dragged my feet along the floor ( :screwy: ). then, i was in a friends house, floating around... and 4 no reason i was thrown across the room and landed on my ass and hit a wall... (weird no?).

i cant remember what happened after that.

hehe, i once dreamed i was a forestal, that was class, wish i could dream that again... i'd give nething 2 really b a forestal in the land...

I had a dream once where I found a HUGE sum of money lying beside the road in a bag.

We kept it and nobody claimed it. I then realised that "HEY !! This is too good to be true ! You must be dreaming !!"

So...in my dream I "pinched" myself only to find that Lo and Behold it WASN'T a dream and the money really was mine.....then I woke up

I hate dreams that sorta bcome reality! Thank god they stopped after poohbearty! When I was 7 I ODed on Salt Water Taffy on the way home from the beach. That night I dreamt I was in the hospital and the Dr. told me that I would die if I didn't eat 3 5 feet by 6 inches belts of Taffy, 2 yellow 1 red, within 3 minutes...I failed, time ran out, and I woke up w/ 1/2 my pillow stuck in my mouth! Also those dang "falling off a cliff" dreams. I had 3 of them and everytime I was about 2 hit bottom I fell out of bed! The last one really sucked cause I was on a "sleepover" and on the top bunk... 8O Ow!!!!

I`ve had several dreams where I fall..they`re horrible. In one of them, I was on my bike, and somehow I had gotten into the air. I fell (naturally). It looked like I maybe could manage to land in a river, thus avoiding becoming road pizza. But..I barely missed it. Luckily, I always wake up just before I hit the ground.

Man...never take robitussin before you go to sleep if you've been playing FF8 all day....I dreamed alllll niiiiight loooongg that I was in the never ending final fantasy battle from HELL! I had like a million characters in my party...not the three you are only allowed in real life....and all my spels were listed individually, not like Cure..............80 but more like
Cure
Cure
Cure
Cure
etc. I couldn't see my characters or the thing I was fighting, the whole screen was filled with menus and dialog boxes from all my characters attack options....
I took a sick day yesterday and played video games all day to recuperate...didn't know the cough syrup would make me trip so hard.... :o

I used to have this recurring nightmare for years and years where I woke up in the middle of the night and found this one particular family member standing over me with a knife!
It finally went away a year or so after I got married, to the relief of my husband, who would always freak out when I would sit up in the middle of the night screaming in terror!

waking dreams

Post by trance »

Dear Friends,

The replies on dreams were interesting, no? So another suggestion: in a waking state, using deep trance identification (see the book Trance-formations) you can become a character in the land in a vivid way beyond mere day dreaming,

Cheers.
