I found this yesterday at the local beer cave. Every time I run into a Stone brewing beer my expectations go up. This one did not disappoint me. Crisp, clear, with citrus bitterness. This is a limited release session IPA but even though it was lower on the Alcohol side, it was high on the flavor side. If you see these, pick six up. You wont be disappointed.

Local beer cave is killing it!!! Found this today. Stone Fear Movie Lions. I read the below review and that pretty much nails it for me as well. However I felt the Feel was more solidly medium than lighter side of medium. Go find some and you wont regret it.
Smell is very reminiscent of a NEIPA. Dank mango, citrus pith, tangerine and juicy grapefruit are the most noticeable flavors.
Taste leans more west coast. There is lots of bright fruitiness, but that is rounded out by dank, resiny pine and citrus pith. There is a touch of pale malts as well and a moderately bitter finish.
Feel is light side of medium, soft and juicy, but the finish is sticky and rather prickly from the bitterness.

Really good but with 8.8 ABV it will hit you hard. I bought these in 16oz cans (pint) rather than 12oz cans. The Mango is typically a byproduct of the heavy malts that are typically in high ABV beers. The sweet aspects of the malts combined with certain hops gives beer a mango or even some say a 'over-ripe mango' flavor.Skyweir wrote:wow .. good huh? Sounds different .. mango and grapefruit?
Kind interested to try it just cos it sounds so weird LOL

I'm at Brikks pizza in Ohio. Having a Golden road Wolf among weeds double IPA. Good, I would order again but nothing spectacular.
Next up will be the Dogfish Head 120 min triple 18% abv
Ok the 120 was not hoppy enough for me and the malts gave it a banana sweet fruity taste.
So next was a Three Floyd's Lazer snake. Good fruity on the front, very pine bitter on the end. A good style of IPA.

I like the Little Bang beers.
Couple of great guys who were at uni together, looking for alternative and affordable beers so started brewing their own, then got serious about it, then stopped being so serious because they wanted it to be fun, then got cornered into production, then this:

I love a Naked Objector and the IRA. They must be consumed cold and in moderation as they kick.

I was at a place for dinner today that had a brewery in called BrewDog. I had a double IPA called Prototype. Damn good. I spent some time talking to their rep. They have some great ideas about beer and some interesting ideas on new beers.
For those across the pond. They have this in the UK and Scotland.
Oh and for Sky,,,Brewdog is heading for Austrailia!!!
