I am glad I know nothing of any of these things. There are at last some good things about being a Briton.

But Foul, aren't there bad shows, movies and music in every decade? Considering last year's movies, this decade is bad. There's alot of trash on tv, so what decade is worse?

In addition to the trash, the 80s had mullets. I think that clinches it :P

I liked The Cosby Show, at least for a few seasons. Then it got a little old.

But I still love Family Ties!! I can't believe you don't like it! How terribly disappointing!! If you haven't changed your password yet, I'm gonna go do mean stuff to your site!

Here's a great moment from the final episode. Alex is describing a scene from his childhood to a shrink. It's morning, and he's talking with his mother while eating breakfast before school. Apparently, Alex stays up too late most nights...

Mom: Alex, you need to sleep more at night. How much sleep did you get last night?

Alex: Three hours. But they were three quality hours!

(The boy from next door walks in at this point.)

Mom: Skippy, how much sleep did you get last night?

Skippy: Nineteen hours.

Mom: You see, Alex? Sk... (head whips back to look at Skippy) Nineteen hours?!?!?

Skippy: Yeah. I went home for lunch yesterday, and lay down for a nap. I just woke up a few minutes ago.

Wasn't Family Ties an offshoot from the A-Team?

Where on earth would the connection be?? Heh, but then, Happy Days was an offshoot of Love American Style, so... :) But anyway, Family Ties started in '82, a year before A-Team.

That must be it. Hannibal was Steve Keaton's ne'er-do-well brother. They never talked about him because they were ashamed of his violent ways. And Face was Elise's first husband, whom she married in a drunken stupor after the senior prom.
