Happened upon this thread while searching for Elton John citations. Surprised that this eleven-year-dormant thread has me as last poster...and it is interesting to put myself back in the headspace I was in at the beginning of February 2010.
While not cited in my list, Chicago's Wishing You Were Here would have been appropriate:
