Chick Flicks that Guys like

Ok, there are a few out there that we all enjoy, we being men. Sure we're ashamed sometimes, sometimes we're not. I'm secure enough to admit to crying to a film or two and I've enjoyed the casual chick flick from time to time.

So step up men, what are those chick flicks that are kinda girly, but that you still enjoy. I'll start it off.

I've always liked Fried Green Tomatoes, something jsut cool about it. Maybe its the underlying sexual lesbian relationship between the two flashback characters, or the whole murder mystery behind the story. Either way its a funny film and I like it.

I also like Jerry Macguire, it pretty much is a chick flick, but its got the whole sports agent ethics aspect of it. The sappy relationship is what makes it a chick flick, "You had me at hello........(TEAR)"

Anyways, I've liked those films, despite them being labeled as chick flicks, so come on men, be manly and secure and admit to the girly films that you have enjoyed. ;-)

When you say
chick flick", you of course are wanting an analysis of the "sappy" type chick flick rather than the flick that stars only chicks, most of them wearing clear high heels (apologies to Chris Rock).

Ones I liked? "13 going on 30" wasn't bad...J. Garner did a great job.

The Helen Hunt/Jack Nicholson movie was good too, though the title escapes me.

As Good As it Gets :wink: Since I'm a Nicholson freak he's made every chick flick he's ever been in better (except for Man Trouble-sorry Ellen you know I love you :P ) Terms of Endearment, The Evening Star, Something's Gotta Give and Witches of Eastwick...

Fried Green Tomatoes is an excellent movie!

I like Serendipity, with John Cusack and the ultra-hot Kate Beckinsale.

Another great chick flick that I really like is Somewhere in Time, with Jane Seymour and Christopher Reeve. Both actors are at their best!

Titanic isn't quite a Chick Flick IMHO. How 'bout Nurse Betty? I liked that quite a bit.

Whoa, Whoa, Titantic isn't a chick flick.........IT SO IS! Nothing wrong with it, I enjoyed it but no denying its a chick flick.

I was viewing it from the perspective of one who digs history. I tohugh it was more dramatic, than romantic. Not sappy, which is king of the needed quality to define "chick flick"...right?

I enjoy it from a historical standpoint as well, but I still think it's a chick flick. So there! :P
