Good guesses, but both off. You got the right book with your second guess though.

I thought it was in reference to Bannor and the Bloodguard vow.

Which is what?Fist and Faith wrote:The chapter you're hoping to dissect.

And no dAN, not in relation to the Vow or the Bloodguard.

Oops. I was thinking of The Sun-Sage, but the part I was really thinking of ("He wanted the white gold - the ring. But I'm the white gold too. He couldn't change that by killing me.") is in "To Say Farewell". But it's not from either of those anyway.
I'm thinking somewhere earlier, around Banefire. Anybody want to look through those chapters? I don't have time right now.

Ok, clue time. It is from the first half of White Gold Wielder. It is a little obscure, but if you can tell me what Mhoram was right about, then you will have found it.

He was right about alot of things. But, the most important was the paradox of white gold...
...The necessity of freedom..."When I saw Mhoram in Andelain"—his [Covenant] tone was as direct as courage—"he tried to warn me. He said, 'It boots nothing to avoid his snares, for they are ever beset with other snares, and life and death are too intimately intergrown to be severed from each other. When you have come to the crux, and have no other recourse, remember the paradox of white gold. There is hope in contradiction.' " By degrees, his expression softened, became more like the one for which she was insatiable. "I don't think there's going to be any stalemate."

I didn't make it up. It is actually a direct quote from a chapter in part one of White Gold Wielder. TC says that Mhoram was right, and that blah blah blah. I'll give another clue either tomorrow or the next day.

Okay my dear dear friend...no where in WGW does Covenant say the exact words "Mhoram was right." He says many variations of the phrase "Mhoram was right". But he never actually says "Mhoram was right".
"he was right", "Mhoram said...", etc...but NOT "Mhoram was right".
Honestly...you trying to give me fits or something???

"he was right"
"she was right"
"Honniscrave was right"
"Linden was right"
"Sunder was right"
"Hamako was right"
"I was right"
But NO WHERE in WGW is the phrase "Mhoram was right".
