And the Harry Potter series.

i think theyre becoming better actors as the movies progress...the first one was pretty stiff...the second one they seemed to loosen up a bit..the third one im sure theyll seem more natural
Think on that, and be dismayed

I saw the new film yesterday... I think Hermione has definitely improved - she was the only one who didn't constantly remind me she was an actor.

It was pretty good. Certainly far better than Chamber of Secrets. It worked much better as a film than the previous one, the plot seemed more complete and it was more engrossing. As I said, the child actors were all a bit rubbish, except Hermione (and she wasn't remarkable) and the sneering legend that is Malfoy. But it was much better than I expected. A decent enough way to spend 2 1/2 hours. I think the most significant improvements were 1) the screen-compatibility of the plot and 2) the atmosphere.

Oh, and one other thing: adult casting. Michael Gambon is a respectable replacement Dumbledore, but Gary Oldman as Sirius Black? Just no. A fine actor, and he impressed me at a couple of points, but he somehow doesn't work as Sirius, IMHO. And don't even ask me about Lupin  Again, the man himself isn't a bad actor, but he's just not bedraggled or haunted enough for Lupin. Also IMHO, naturally.

Both of your above posts are great Roger, and tell the full and complete truth about the film... I need not say more. :P
