Collector's Edition

Post by Furls Fire »

From the "News" section of the official website:
Collector's Edition

It's official: Hill House has formally contracted with Putnams to release a signed, limited collector's edition of "The Runes of the Earth." Hill House hopes to make their edition available within a month or two of Putnams' hardcover publication.

Will there be a difference between the Putnam and Hill House books, other than the autograph?

Just one? I think I need at least 4! Though I'm sure I'd prefer 52

Maybe we'll get lucky and they'll release the other 6 as well... :)

Wow, $200 for a Neil Gaiman book. I didn't look for a length, but given how long Runes is it might be $250 or so.

I was also curious about how they are restoring material that was cut for space. I remember some people who read the uncut Stand and said that the stuff the editor had King cut really should have stayed cut :) So I wonder if the same would be true for the Gaiman book.

Keep in mind i have no idea, never having read him. But it's just a funny thought.

I want one. Anyone want to buy a dying Gerber daisy plant for $200?

Wow, expensive books. If I get anything special, it'll be the £30 Waterstone's edition - which is bloody expensive for a book anyway, never mind paying hundreds for one...
