4) The Preacher's Wife
5) Left Behind

"Passion" is a religious take on agitprop, melodramatic, and except for some visuals, boring.
By this definition:

Passion (from the Latin verb patior, meaning to suffer or to endure)

The film was actually about the people who had to watch it.

"Last Temptation" was a much better film.

Never saw Temptation as my pastor said it was blasphemous in a lot of ways.

It probably was, though I don't know what it takes to officially be blasphemous, nor who makes the decision.
OTOH, Christ himself was blasphemous sometimes, according to some important powers of the time...so blasphemy isn't necessarily bad.

? It's one of the 10 commandments?

Jesus can't blasphem as he is the high hand God himself?

My preacher told me these things and he has a degree in Theocracy, theology and spiritual healing. Not to put down your opinion but I think those degrees make him a valid and correct longitudal almagator of correct biblical interpretation (which we all know is literal). If you read the original greek, like he has you will know that it is to be literally interpreted and therefore literally blasphemous right now to say Jesus was a blasphemor? I am asking

not accusing? although i am strongly leaning one way

I can't believe no one has mentioned The Cross and the Switchblade, which is still worth watching for so many reasons. Not the least is its period flavor. It is 1970 on celluloid.

The Jesus Film is beautiful, notwithstanding the unfortunate casting of Jesus as a pretty brown-eyed Englishman.

The Book of Eli.
The Prince of Egypt.
Ink.

Although I am very devoted, I am not a big religious film fan, and some not-strictly-religious films give a better message than things like God's Not Dead, which was ok.

I never saw it. I did see Eli, and loved it. Courageous was excellent, too.
