Bad Writing Thread Mini-Game(s)
I am looking for 12 words/phrases. The rules of this game are: the person above you gives a part of speech, you give a word or phrase that fits that request, then you request a word that fits a part of speech of your choosing.
Example:
person above you asked for a noun
you answer dog
you ask for a verb
next person answers swim
next person asks for adverb
Feel free to be creatively descriptive... "dog with a limp"
And please number entries to help keep track. I will start this off.

"People without hope not only don't write novels, but what is more to the point, they don't read them.
They don't take long looks at anything, because they lack the courage.
The way to despair is to refuse to have any kind of experience, and the novel, of course, is a way to have experience."
-Flannery O'Connor
"In spite of much that militates against quietness there are people who still read books. They are the people who keep me going."
-Elisabeth Elliot, Preface, "A Chance to Die: The Life and Legacy of Amy Carmichael"
