Flat Stanley is an American
children's book series
written by author Jeff Brown
(January 1, 1926 – December 3, 2003).
The idea for the book began as a bedtime
story for Brown’s sons, which Brown turned
into the first Flat Stanley book. The first book
featured illustrations by Tomi Ungerer and was
published in 1964. Brown did not continue the
series until more than two decades later, when
he published five more books: Stanley and the
Magic Lamp, Stanley in Space, Stanley’s
Christmas Adventure, Invisible Stanley, and
Stanley, Flat Again!

Originally, the group performed under
a number of names before settling on
The Velvet Underground in 1965. Pop
artist Andy Warhol would became their
manager in 1966, and served as the
house band at Warhol's art collective
known as "the Factory" and Warhol's
traveling multimedia show, the Exploding
Plastic Inevitable, from 1966 to 1967.

Their debut album, The Velvet Underground
& Nico (with German singer and model Nico),
was released in 1967 to critical indifference
& poor sales but has since drawn wide acclaim.
They released three more albums, White Light/
White Heat (1968), The Velvet Underground (1969),
& Loaded (1970), with Doug Yule replacing Cale
for the final two, and with none performing up
to the expectations of record labels or of Reed.

Sunlight is a portion of the electromagnetic
radiation given off by the Sun, in particular
infrared, visible, and ultraviolet light.

On Earth, sunlight is scattered and filtered
through Earth's atmosphere, and is obvious
as daylight when the Sun is above the horizon.

When direct solar radiation is not blocked
by clouds, it is experienced as sunshine,
a combination of bright light and radiant heat.

When blocked by clouds or reflected off other
objects, sunlight is diffused. Sources estimate
a global average of between 164 watts to 340
watts per square meter over a 24-hour day;
this figure is estimated by NASA to be about
a quarter of Earth's average total solar irradiance.

Rath: Humpty Dumpty says
following the poem: "A 'rath'
is a sort of green pig". Carroll's
notes for the original in Mischmasch
state that a 'Rath' is "a species of
land turtle. Head erect, mouth like
a shark, the front forelegs curved
out so that the animal walked on
its knees, smooth green body, lived
on swallows and oysters." In the
1951 animated film adaptation of
the previous book, the raths are
depicted as small, multi-coloured
creatures with tufty hair, round eyes,
and long legs resembling pipe stems.

Turmeric (/ˈtɜrmərɪk, ˈtju-/)[
is a flowering plant, Curcuma
longa, of the ginger family,
Zingiberaceae, the rhizomes
of which are used in cooking.
The plant is a perennial,
rhizomatous, herbaceous
plant native to the Indian
subcontinent and Southeast
Asia that requires temperatures
between 20 and 30 °C (68 and 86 °F)
and a considerable amount of
annual rainfall to thrive. Plants
are gathered each year for their
rhizomes, some for propagation
in the following season and
some for consumption.

Photosynthesis:
While there are many steps behind
the process of photosynthesis, it can
be broken down into two major stages:
light-dependent reactions and
light-independent reactions. The
light-dependent reaction takes
place within the thylakoid
membrane and requires a steady
stream of sunlight, hence the
name light-dependent reaction.
The chlorophyll absorbs energy
from the light waves, which is
converted into chemical energy
in the form of the molecules ATP
and NADPH. The light-independent
stage, also known as the Calvin Cycle,
takes place in the stroma, the space
between the thylakoid membranes
and the chloroplast membranes,
and does not require light, hence
the name light-independent reaction.
During this stage, energy from the ATP
and NADPH molecules is used to
assemble carbohydrate molecules,
like glucose, from carbon dioxide.

Flatiron Building, originally the
 Fuller Building, is a triangular
22-story, 285-foot-tall (86.9 m)
steel-framed landmarked building
at 175 Fifth Avenue in the eponymous
Flatiron District neighborhood of the
borough of Manhattan in New York City.

Designed by Daniel Burnham and
Frederick P. Dinkelberg, it was completed
in 1902 and originally contained 20 floors.
The building sits on a triangular block
formed by Fifth Avenue, Broadway,
and East 22nd Street—where the building's
87-foot (27 m) back end is located—with
East 23rd Street grazing the triangle's northern
(uptown) peak. The name "Flatiron" derives
from its triangular shape, which recalls that
of a cast-iron clothes iron. I've seen the place.

The Gateway Arch is a 630-foot-tall
(192 m) monument in St. Louis,
Missouri, United States. Clad in
stainless steel and built in the form
of a weighted catenary arch, it is
the world's tallest arch and Missouri's
tallest accessible building. Some
sources consider it the tallest human-
made monument in the Western Hemisphere.
Built as a monument to the westward
expansion of the United States and officially
dedicated to "the American people", the
Arch, commonly referred to as "The
Gateway to the West", is a National
Historic Landmark in Gateway Arch
National Park and has become an
internationally recognized symbol
of St. Louis, as well as a popular
tourist destination. The Arch was
designed by Finnish-American architect
Eero Saarinen in 1947; construction
began on February 12, 1963, and was
completed on October 28, 1965, at
an overall cost of $13 million (
equivalent to $83 million in 2018).
The monument opened to the public
on June 10, 1967. It is located at
the site of the founding of St. Louis
on the west bank of the Mississippi River.
I've been to the top floor within it.

With do-it-yourself debt settlement, you negotiate directly with your creditors in an effort to settle your debt for less than you originally owed.

The strategy works best for debts that are already delinquent. Creditors, seeing missed payments stacking up, may be open to a settlement because partial payment is better than no payment at all.

But because you must continue to miss payments while negotiating, damage to your credit stacks up, and there is no guarantee that you’ll end up with a deal.

There are better ways to handle your debt than DIY debt settlement.

Here’s how DIY debt settlement compares to using a debt settlement company, and how to negotiate with a creditor on your own.
