I’ve recently gotten obsessed with Suno, an AI music/song generator. And I got the idea of having it generate music to fit the books.
Here’s what I have so far:

There’s at least one song for each of the six books, with several for The One Tree. The Suno app generates the music based on directions/prompts. For the songs with vocals, I used the ChapGPT app to give me lyrics, then edited them and brought them into Suno.
I haven’t yet taken any of the songs actually described in the books and tried to put music to them; that’s one of the future goals for this.
It’s all very much a work in progress, since I’m still learning how to write and structure the prompts to get better control of the output and get closer to what I want. And some of these tracks need to be run through an audio editing program (one track ends abruptly mid- verse, for example).
That said, I’m pretty happy with what I’ve got so far. I especially like “Keeper of the Seventh Ward”, “Infelice (Guardian of the Balance)” and “Into the Banefire”.

Not being at all musical, I suspect that music is one of the new AI fields that I am unlikely to explore. Pretty damn cool though.
