Oh, boy, the Nigerian scam. I have gotten those emails, though not recently, and I used to get a couple by snailmail.

There are people out there who try to scam the scammers - which could be a dangerous business, in my (and in the scambaiters') opinon. However, it's amusing to see how they lead the scammers on.

I was especially amused that at one scam-baiter - he said he freely makes up banks and account numbers to feed the scammers, his favorite bank being Plunder and Flee. I figure the scammers must be pretty cluesless not to get that one (or maybe they just don't understand English that well).

This new virus, as of yet unnamed, attacks users through embedding code into website sources. It will attack your pc when you visit a site.
Because it is embedded in the source code for the site, and is not a "script", it can get past anti-virus software, and firewalls.
From what I have read, Internet Explorer is the vulnerable browser. Microsoft has yet to figure out their security issues in regards to IE. Other browsers do not allow the virus to penetrate into your system.
Those of you that use IE, I would recommend changing browsers, and I also think that Mozilla/Firefox is an excellent alternative. It is immune to the new virus. You can download Mozilla here: www.mozilla.org
It is free, and effective.
Plus, you can open sites on tabs, much like MS Excel page tabs...
