Isn't Covenant like 23 or 25 in Lord Foul's Bane? I know he's Less than 30.

Personally, I find Mr Depp is closer to my mental image of Hile Troy. Except for the eyes, of course |-T

I don't know if it's been mentioned yet...but a good actor to portray Covenant would be Billy Bob Thornton. I'm basing this on the movie Bad Santa

John Turturro
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

No, he's Spiderman. He can't be Covenant. I'd probably die if he was! :faint:

Have you seen Seabiscuit? If not, I suggest you do. For more evidence of the abiltiy of Maguire, watch Cider House Rules.

I wasn't questioning the abiltiy of Maguire... I was just questioning his suitability to play Covenant. :)

As gaunt as he was for Seabiscuit, it just screamed Covenant to me. It all comes down to opinion anyhow. That's just my take on it.

And Hugh Jackman is too tall to play Wolverine.

Great thread.

For TC. either Daniel Day Lewis as mentioned a few pages back -or- Sean Bean.

Did you mean Sean Penn? He would certainly be my pick!

I also like Meryl Streep as Atiaran, Mel Gibson as Mhoram and Don Rumsfeld as Lord Foul.

New to the board, this is the first of what I hope will be many posts regarding my favorite book of all time. Howdy folks! 8)

acutally, yeah, i think Sean Bean would be really good..he looks the part...especially in Troy...and he touched on an aspect of covenant in LOTR...the whole troubled/obsessed thing...hmm...
Think on that, and be dismayed

The Chronicles as Stargate-SG1?

Post by HeadLikeARock »

OK I don't think it's been mentioned before, but TCOTC has already been turned into a TV series...well, almost...

I'm thinking Stargate SG-1.

TC - Richard Dean Anderson - aka "Colonel Jonathan 'Jack' O'Neill"
LA - Amanda Tapping aka "Major Samantha Carter"
Bannor - Christopher Judge aka "Teal'c"
Lord Mhoram - Don S. Davis - "General George Hammond"
Hile Troy - Corin Nemec aka "Jonas Quinn"
Lord Foul - Peter Williams aka "Apophis"
The Elohim - The Ancients
Ravers - The Goa’uld
Waynim - The Asgard
Lords Staff - Staff Weapon
Kevins Watch - Stargate

The list goes on!

Discuss.
