A MUD is a Multi-User Dungeon - basically an online role playing thing.

And I agree about the Elohim picture. It's all a bit primary coloured :?

That MUD has been around for a long time, not sure if it's still active or not. As for the picture on the site, it looks like a low-color scan of the One Tree cover I have :(

The Elohim pic is from the original U.S. cover for TOT.

Yes - that's the original One Tree cover from the US. The artwork by Darrell K. Sweet, that Steve loves so much. (hint: I was trying to sound sarcastic) :-)

Personally, I liked the look of the Sweet covers, except for The One Tree. Looks too ... foofy.
And then the ravens pecked out his eyes.

Doesn't look like it's active
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

Yes, I remember coming across that site a few years ago as well. I got pretty excited, but even then it was inactive. Looks like whoever put the site up either lost interest...or got hit one day in a traffic accident and is RIGHT NOW having adventures in the Land while resting in a coma. 8O

Actually, I think that glossary provides a fairly accurate assessment of most of the races for anyone who hasn't read the books. (The website author's own descriptions, not the one-line definitions taken straight from the back of the books.)

But, yes, it's incredible that Sandgorgons weren't included. They would kick major butt in any game for sure!

If you take away everything after the ~grum in the url, there's a photo album of a baby. Maybe they're busier these days. :D
