UH OH! An early review of CATWOMAN

Post by aTOMiC »

Gee wiz. My worst fears may have been realized. Of course we still need to hear from the rest of the critical world on the subject. In the mean time.....

Are you suprised? Really? This movie has all the earmarks of a true unmitigated suck-fest.

I am not in any way suprised. I saw this coming from the first moment I read about the plot and saw the idiotic costume. Now I know why Ashely Judd RAN away from this piece of crap.

Maybe the lesson in all of this is to avoid any film directed by anyone whose name is a single word, especially any French director named "Pitof." (As in Pit of Crap?)

Thanks for the link, LF. What I don't get is how anyone could have posted a RIPE tomato on that site. The other 99% of reviewers can't all be totally out of their minds. If there had been even a sliver of a chance that I would have so much as rented a bargain VHS version of this piece of crap, those reviews just made it an impossibility.

Earmanks. Heh. You know, with that stupid mask of hers, I think she should have been named "Mousegirl", or "Ratwoman", instead of ruining one of DC's (and comincs in general) best supporting characters.

I told you before it was going to be Berry's Gigli. And when I heard Sharon Stone was going to be in it that signaled not only the "kiss of death" but the "French kiss of death". I haven't been impressed with Berry anyway--almost in Gotihka, but not in Monster's Ball. Unlike Kidman, who put three stellar prefomances together-before and after winning her Oscar (The Others, The Hours and Cold Mountian), Berry (like Will Smith) doesn't seem too concerned with any consistancy in her career. But (like Smith) she is laughing all the way to the bank!

Just looking at these 2 ultra-hot actresses may be worth the price of admission.

I'd prefer that we don't ecourage this kind film making with box office receipts. I hope they tank big time but I don't think I'll get that lucky.

I don't understand how a movie studio can run with such a project when they must have heard all the negativity being expressed.
