It happened to me yesterday, on the way home from church. I was listening to 103.5 (classic rock), and Foreigner's "Head Games" played. I like "Head Games"; I love to sing along with it. Anyway, a commercial folled. I hate those, and the commercial breaks last forever, so I changes the station to 107.3, 'soft' oldies. The ZZ Top song was just ending, and then "Head Games"! Yeeha! I got to sing along, this time doing a little better due to the recent practice. Two or 3 more songs, and then the blasted commercials again....I switch to 102.5 (real rock n'roll), and they're wrapping up a Zeppelin tune, followed by something else, and then "Head Games"!!!! I nailed it that time, but got home before I could see if it was playing elsewhere......ever have that happen to you? I imaging it would be more common with new hits.

Yeah, there's two "alternative" stations here in the Hampton Roads area. The only time I listen to the radio is in the car, so I have those two set on preset (used to just change on commercials, and then linkin park. now it's to try to find anything decent). Anyway, a lot of the time I'll change the station and the same song will be playing, sometimes taking me two or three changes (depending on traffic) to realize it.
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

Tampa is filled with radio stations, so I get 2 playing the same tune a lot.
