I'm reading Artemis Fowl: the Arctic Incident, by Eoin Colfer. It's really good. Almost better than Harry Potter.

Completely different, though.

Fowl is good (and the first is better than the second) and fun, but it's nowhere as deep as HDM...

Given, the first Artemis book was ok, but I really didn't like the 2nd...

But they are nowhere near as good as HDM...At all.

I saw Artemis Fowl in the local book shop and remembered this thread. I'm kinda intrigued by it.

So I gather it is a series of books?

Is the Arctic Incident the first one?

No, that's the second one. I think the name of the first book is just Artemis Fowl. Not sure though.
