Moderator needed?

Post by Loredoctor »

Hey Jay and Vain!
I know I pester you guys heaps about mods, but do you need a moderator for this forum? I'd be happy to moderate here, but there may be an imbalance as I'm too much of a sceptic. So, make Furls Fire a mod here, too? ;) Pretty please?
Just a suggestion.

I think we only need one. Furls will do the job.

No problem with a skeptic being a moderator here, in my opinion. Of course, it would make it better if there was another mod who was a believer. Baradakas or Furls, for instance. Murrin's also a good choice. Fist and Birdy (haven't seen her around lately) would also be good for the job.

And what the heck, I'd do it if someone else wanted to take a shot at modding Vespers.

Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.”

If Vespers is holding you back, I'd be happy to mod it. On the other hand, I'm sure you could handle modding both.

Well if we want it to be as balanced as possible, this forum would need three mods: a "believer", "unbeliever", and of course agnostic. Or perhaps a mod for every religion. Heh. Personally, I think Baradakas would make the best mod of this forum.

Wow, I'm touched!!! Thank you guys so much for your support! I would be more than happy to co-mod with anyone... if Vain and Jay were to agree. Perhaps Foul or Caer S would like to help me... I also think Furl's or Murrin would do a bang up job...

If Vain or Jay or both think a moderator is needed that is.

Nah, Vespers isn't holding me back. It's my baby. I just think I've done about as much for the forum as a mod as I can. It's why I wanted to bring Foul in. Rejuvenate it, add new perspective, etc. Grooming my replacement.

I've grown used to being a moderator, though, so I'd rather move to a different forum as long as it was ok with the group and the admins. There are a lot of worthy KW members (all the ones listed in this forum, though even more that haven't been mentioned) that deserve their chance in the limelight (or is it spotlight ;) ). I wouldn't want to crowd it.

UV, I always consider you to be top dog round here, and after thinking on it, I would agree that it might be better to have one believer, one atheist and one agnostic....

So I hereby nominate Urvile the Agnostic to Mod.....

Erm... while I appreciate the support, I don't think I'm the right person to mod this place. I don't really take much part in this forum in the first place - heck, I don't even like to get involved in the sort of discussions that go on here. Sure, I make the occassional contribution, but nothing to warrant having my name put forward for modding.

Just remember, we have two believers and a sceptic. Try to keep things fair, okay? ;)
