I must have been looking in the wrong place, because that looked pretty steep. $199 anyone?

sorry, Cov, that was the wrong page. I edited it and now it is right. Now it will show the white gold bands, starting at 44. and the engraving is 20. They said they would give the Watch a discount of 10% (big whoop- not a lot) if you use the discount code--back2school.
Also Walmart has some for 35 and some of them engrave.
and there are engravers at the malls who will engrave anything cheap.
If everyone wants to chip in to give SRD one, guess we could leave that up to Danlo who would probably be the only one who will get the chance to give it to him. I leave that idea to you Danlo to do or dismiss. If it's a go, then tell us where to send our donation.
On my ring I am putting....."ONE HEART/KW"
which is what we all sort of are......at the Watch.

Not at all darlin, and I would get one for every single one of you if I could, especially you. But alas! You will all have to get your own. A let down I know. But hey, Im not Santa Claus.
And yes, there is a clique, and everyone at the Watch is IN it.
Loving the Chronicles. that's what it's all about.

I GOT MINE!!!!!
My husband gave it to me for our anniversary present, because he heard me talking about wanting it and looking for the best price.....
He gave me the exact right size for my thumb ring!
Now to have it engraved.....ONE HEART, I think.
and of course....KW.
oh...he said he got it at walmart for 26 bucks.
FAR OUT !!!

Well, GB dwellers, it seems Argos is indeed the place (thanks for the link, Cate). Sadly, they can't be ordered online, so we have to actually be seen going in there and buying. Factor in the cost of impenetrable disguises, and this is going to work out very expensive

But seriously, you can get a personalised one for £18 or £25, depending on which type you prefer.

I've been thinking about the inscription today, and of course I want a dedication to KW, but what else. I think I might really personalise it, perhaps by putting my username on it (or an abbreviation thereof - perhaps the ever-popular CJ). But I'd like something from the books too. A few ideas meandered through my thoughts: Stone and Sea, We Suffice, Wild magic graven in every rock, Earthfriend, Melenkurion Abatha...that kind of thing. Some quite good, some not so good. I like Melenkurion Abatha. I even considered
Spoiler
Nom
But in the end I find myself torn between two: "Be True" because it sums up the whole of the chronicles, and "The Power That Preserves" because I like the phrase, it has a connection to white gold, and I think "the power that preserves" refers to more than just magic. Melenkurion Abatha was relegated to second place, partly because I'm not sure the Argos engravers would spell it correctly

I'll let you know which one I chose when it's done. Hmm...be true...the power that preserves...be true...the power that preserves...hmmm...

I realised I should probably post the link. It's here. Go there and click on "White gold [8]" in the menu on the left.
