You do not hear, and so you cannot be redeemed.

In the name of their ancient pride and humiliation, they had made commitments with no possible outcome except bereavement.

He knew only that they had never striven to reject the boundaries of themselves.

Hello out there! I think Guy Pearce could pull off TC perfectly. How about Jodie Foster for LA. THE ROCK could be Bannor. Mhoram is a tough one!

FAr Out fAntasmagoriCal suggestion!!!!

Guy Pearce would be a great TC .. a very plain dude .. gaunt looking .. been hit with the ugly stick a few times too much!! He is PERFECT!!!

could do the non-communicative .. the whole TC hang-up thing well

I LOVE IT!! welcome to the Watch 'bampitt' .. by the way where does your nic hail from?? Unusual albeit intriguing in the extreme ..

I love Natalie Portman .. she plays a stunning and brilliant Amidala but I have to agree Elena seems more of a tall commanding blonde or light brunette (if thats possible - forgot what the name for just brown is  ) Anyhoo .. Nicole Kidman can do regal .. but I see Elena as a bit stronger or more sturdy or solid .. What about Cate Blanchett??

There's an actor u don't think about 2 often--does have a large, commanding presence -- and face changes dramatically when throws head back laughing--with ALL those teeth! I still think Robert Patrick is Bannor-has the flatface semi-alien look--from Terminator 2 and new X-Files--Christina Ricci 4 Hollihan! Patrick Stewart would make a better Mohram than Connery--Connery would make an xcellent Caerroil Wildwood, tho...Pearce and Quaid as TC--interesting! Can't c Gibson playing him tho..

Love the thought of Connery as Mhoram, if not him then Patrick Stewart. How about Russell Crowe as Bannor or maybe Mel Gibson. Julia Roberts as Elena??

Both Russell Crowe and Mel Gibson would have to do some SERIOUS gym time and stop eating all the pies to have a chance at playing any of the Haruchai. These is a French chap on an advert for the BBC, jumping of buildings walking on his on his hands etc., he has a magnificent physique, just what I imagine a bloodguard would have. I don't think whoever plays a bloodguard would need to be a classically trained actor.
Jodie Foster for me would be an excellent Linden.

Both Gibson and Crowe have proved their physicallness(word?) in Braveheart and Gladiator. They would make excellent Haruchai. I will accept the Roberts snub. THe actor who plalys Bannor cannot be physically imposing so they would be good actors, or how about a totally CGI movie????LOL

Gibson seems too old to play TC. Crowe is too heavy. Guy Pearce would be perfect. He is a good enough actor to play him and has the thin look to him (even gaunt). Someone suggested Chow Yun Phat (Fat?) to play Bannor. I thought that was a pretty good suggestion. Crowe could play Bannor. Patrick Stewart as Mhorham would be fabulous! But who would play the young Mhorham in LFB? Jodie Foster as Linden Avery. She has the look and could play the complicated character. How about Cate Blanchett as Elena?

excellent suggestions .. all!! .. except for Crowe playing Bannor .. I personally prefer the Chow Yun Fat (sp??) suggestion better .. but all the other suggested cast I 100% agree with :)

I never considered Cate Blanchet for Elena before .. but I think she would be excellent .. she could do a possessed Elena perfectly as well as a otherworldly Elena.

I love Guy Pearce for TC .. he would be perfect imo! Patrick Stewart for Mhoram is great too! And I love the guy that played Hagred in HP .. he would make a rather nice Foamfollower imo.

I don't understand that at all - In my imagination Bannor (and all the Haruchai) are very physically imposing - I don't mean big like the Rock or that other wrestler who was in one of the Rocky films, I mean just THERE, with a real aura of confidence and sheer bloody-mindedness, not at all sure how you would show that on film - I like the idea of a somewhat alien look to the Haruchai, I wonder what Bruce Lee would have made of the role?? You would never say he wasn't physically imposing.
The Haruchai would never have the beer bellies and double chins that Gibson and Crowe have developed over the last couple of years.

Bannor portrayed

If someone is going to play me besides me, I'd like the main character from one of those Kickboxer movies. 8)

"What happened to her?"
"She has been dead."
"How long ago did she die?"
"Two thousand years."

The Haruchai are not described as huge(thats what I meant as "Physically imosing"). I agree witht the chow yun fat suggestion, it would be interesting. What about jean claude van damme, he would radiate the impassiveness and lack of emotion of the Bloodguard LOL)

To be honest, I'm not sure I agree with any of the suggestions above... Somehow Patrick Stewart seems too stern to be Mhoram, and perhaps a little old. I always pictued the Bloodguard as quite short, and well-muscled, but not too well-muscled :) Bruce Lee would have been good...
I can't bring Guy Pearce to mind, so I can't comment on him as TC. Where might I have seen him? :)
I do, however, agree that Robbie Coltrane would be quite a good Foamfollower.

I'm intrigued by this idea of casting LF. Since his appearance tends to be a bit fuzzy and indistinct (kind of out of focus was how I pictured it), you couldn't cast an ego-maniac A-lister :) How about the bloke who plays Emperor Palpatine? Or, in a break from typcasting, he could perhaps be the elderly Mhoram - he has the prominent nose, and the bearing of one who knows too much...

LF would definitely have to be a good actor since we never really see him. How about Geoffrey Rush?

Guy Pearce was in Memento, and more recently The Time Machine. He was also in LA Confidential. He is quite good.

I agree about Patrick Stewart as Mhorham. He is a competent actor but too old for Mhorham in LFB and TWL. He could pull it off if he were younger.

For Foamfollower, I draw a blank.
