Indian-born director Mira Nair (Vanity Fair) told the Delhi Times newspaper that she's been offered the job of helming the fifth Harry Potter movie. "I'm getting offers to direct Harry Potter [and the] Order of the Phoenix," Nair told the newspaper. "I read it over the weekend. I'm still deciding."
Order of the Phoenix will be based on the fifth of J.K. Rowling's best-selling Potter books. Nair added: "My son Zoharan's excited. I've seen all the Harry Potter movies with him." Nair is best known for Monsoon Wedding.
The upcoming fourth Potter film, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, is currently in production under director Mike Newell for a Nov. 18, 2005, release. Phoenix is targeting a June 2007 release.

What do you do to a man who has lost everything?
Give him back something broken

I saw this too, or rather my daughter did, on one of her favorite HP sites.

And I believe in you
altho you never asked me too
I will remember you
and what life put you thru.
~fly fly little wing, fly where only angels sing~
~this world was never meant for one as beautiful as you~
...for then I could fly away and be at rest. Sweet rest, Mom. We all love and miss you.

somethin Curon...
well, he was only meant to do one film...since Goblet of Fire was in pre-Preduction while he was still working on Prisoner...and since Goblet is still being made NOW, they cant use THAT director...so theyre going with another one...i think they should just go the LOTR route, and do both at once...that way, the kids will still be the right age...
and as far as the Order being released in June of 06, i dont think that woul be a problem either, as theyd only be about 2 years ahead, and by the time the last one came out, im sure theyd still look young enough...even if they were 4 years older...i mean, the chick who played cordelia in buffy, charisma carpenter, was playing an 18 year old at 28

Chris Columbus produced the third one, so he still had some input into it...but that was the last one hes gonna do..at least at the moment..i liked the first two better...i liked the pacing...granted, they were smaller books...but...cmon...the LOTR books were like...twice the size of all the harry potter books...and THEY were made into great flicks
