I like Syl's idea! I think a watch holdem tournament would be a blast! I'd even volunteer to coordinate it!
War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. Vain, Hurricane Francis may have me a bit preoccupied.

Is there anywhere to play no limit, Brinn? I tried playing on msn zone (absolutely horrible) and yahoo, but the nickel and dime bids kill me.

I would recommend Pokerstars.com. There are many tables where you can play for fun using fake money. The thing I like about the fake money tables is that you can't immediately replenish your fake money if you lose so it encourages people to play holdem properly (i.e. not pushing all in on every single hand). Dlbpharmd plays on this sight and I see him fairly often. If you sign up PM me your screename and I'll send you mine. We can hook up and play some night.

Back to chess, me and Syl have played our game.

It was a great game... and in the end, Syl remained.

WELL DONE SYL! YOU GO THROUGH TO THE FINAL!!!

I will play against the loser out of dAN and Vain for 3rd/4th place.

Watch out for this guy. It was an extremely close, extremely well-played game. I don't think either of us made any noticable errors. It came down to me having a one pawn advantage in the endgame. It could've gone either way.

It was a mistake to ever let you threaten the king/castle fork... that was very restricting, for quite a few moves.

~-Hierachy-~ and in the end it lost me center pawn and developed one of yours...

I take it that it was a harder game than ours ;)

heh, not surprised, all you had to do is find someone who can actually play the game :P

I think, in time, Hier could win on of theese championships, he's a very good player. :)

Well done for getting as far as you did Hier! Congrats! :D

That's a bit mean dAN... I've played you both, and I can honestly say you're no better than he is, really.

Does that mean you won, Vain?

It does not. I don't wnat to play from home, wher my 5 kids and spotty internet access will distract me, so I asked Vain to wait till I do it from my office. Vain, pm me with what time works best for you. Friday looks best for me

the hurricane means dAN can't play his game for a while. The championship's on hold until he gets back.
