Star trek ds9

Post by LordAbsinth »

So getting back on the star trek ds9 topic, you know what i'm talking about; that intergalactic gas station where the captain would be more than happy to wipe the windshield for you, and motel 6 will leave the light on too.
just what the heck does the "ds" stand for anyway, the powers that be want us to believe it stands for deep space. how about desperately sucks, or dumb show, or maybe even directly stupid, digitally superficial, i can go on. . .

DS?

Post by taraswizard »

Yes, I generally liked the series, far superior to the succeding Voyager, two words Janeway's hair?, and Enterprise, jump the shark much.

DS, stands for Deep Sleep. At its worse the series could be tedious soporific.

DS stands for Deep Space....of course, I would not expect you to get that, Lord Absent. You couldn't even find the Star Trek Forum to post this tripe in.....

C'mon now, dAN, you can't just dismiss him without at least giving a logical rebuttal to his specific criticisms.

Oh, wait... nm.

Well, Absinth has voiced his opinions, and I don't share them. Like he has pointed out to me personally, I have a thing for Dax, so I was gonna Love DS9 until they changed her..... :(

Like I've said before, DS9 is my favorite of the Star Trek series. To me, the writing is better, the Klingon and Dominion Wars are oustanding with some of the best battle scenes ever filmed from Star Trek. The storyline b/w the Bajoran and Cardassian peoples was intriguing, and the use of Sisko as the Emissary was brilliant.
