Don't give too much away? That's a tall order if you want hints. All I'll say is: it's nothing like the first chronicles.

Ahhh....what can be said about the Second Chronicles? If you liked the first Chronicles, I'm sure you find yourself very loyal to the Land...so be prepared to do the following:
- Clench jaw
- Curl hands into tight fists
- Sigh wistfully
- Cry in relief
- Weep in sadness
- Bite lip in vexation
- Laugh fondly
- Grind teeth
- Stay up for countless hours reading excitedly, completely unaware of the passage of time until you notice that the sun is now rising
- Repeat. Often.

*grin* there might have been a few more in there...I remember a lot of balled up kleenex strewn about my room while I was reading the Second Chronicles.

IIRC, that applied quite copiously throughout both Chronicles

It was a shortening, for saving time, not an alteration of the name, like you have done to his.

Ah, maybe it was. I'd best be more careful next time, lest my feeble sense of humour betrays me again

Be prepared to laugh, cry, a time for sorrow, and a time for joy....Well just remember to every page TURN TURN TURN!!!!!!!!

Its hard to believe that SRD could get a sequel that is an equal in literary greatness to the original---keeping my fingers crossed on the 3rd series
I am who I am, Ak-Haru Kenaustin Ardenol. The Guardian of the One
Tree. Brinn of the Haruchai.

No offense intended. I get the picture. Anyway, hope you get as much out of the Second Chronicles as the First. Happy reading!
