Very good point Murrin 8)

But this wasn't marked... and has already ruined much of the book for some. This is appalling to those that don't want spoilers.

Bah. It's not as if it wouldn't have happened anyway - written on the first page of my copy of the Second Chrons was a synopsis which told me all about Linden, and the Sunbane, and that's the first thing I read before I even started the book.
And anyway, a spoiler marking was requested within two or three posts of this topic starting, and it wasn't acknowledged.

The fact is, some people who don't like full spoilers will still want teasers like this, and by placing them in the Runes forum you're stopping those people from seeing them, because they won't want to look in case of full spoilers.

This "teaser" spoils the hell out of runes. It belongs in the runes forum.

That's not the point, some members are upset at this Murrin. It doesn't matter if there is a synopsis of the book on the front or not. People didn't want to know about this. And it should have had a spoiler warning, or at least cover the texts in black.

Definitely ruined things for me. :(
"Fortunate circumstances do not equate to high ideals."

"Mostly muffins sir."- My answer in response to the question posed by the officer, "Son, do you have anything on you I should know about?"

His response: "Holy $&!^. He's not kidding! Look at all these muffins!"

Because it wasn't marked, not because it was supposed to be in the Runes forum. I'm not saying it didn't spoil things; I'm not saying it doesan't need to be marked 'spoiler' - I'm saying it doesn't need to be put in the one forum where the only people reading it are likely to know most of the stuff it reveals already.
The way it is written, the things it reveals, it is intended for those who don't know anything about Runes yet.

I know that Murrin. But regardless, it's a spoiler; this forum was created so there would be no spoilers.
