Runes on CD

Post by dlbpharmd »

The following is from SRD's website:
Putnams (US) plans to release an audio edition of "The Runes of the Earth" complete on (count 'em) 22 CDs. 28 1/2 hours. I believe the package will be available at the same time as the "Runes" hardcover. Meanwhile Orion (UK) is contemplating an abridged audio version of the same book on 5 CDs. So far no one has expressed any interest in producing audio versions of the previous six "Covenant" books.
This is listed on Amazon.com, for $44.95.

If we each take a chapter ...

So hey - I could do someone too - yeah maybe Vain! I would love to do EVERY ONE of Vain's lines!!

No wait - I'd rather do Seadreamer's lines!!

Of course I could always do my lines...

What if we, say, read all of Lord Foul's lines with an Arnold Schwarzenegger voice. "Very funny, Groveler! I kill you last!"

I think I could do Lord Foul's voice. I have quite a deep voice (I've been told) and I have that prime villainous trait of possessing an English accent ;)

I don't think I'd be very suitable, I speak with short-midlands style vowels in an accent that drifts between Leicester, South Yorkshire, South Manchester and West London, all with a faint kiwi twang.

Have you ever seen the Eddie Izzard sketch where James Bond meets an assassin who has an electronic voicebox, but it's stuck on shop display mode? My chapter would sound a bit like that.

A. Because proper tea is theft.

I speak with short vowels as well, no-one wants a southerner with their "grahss". But i have little regional accent (i've been told) so i'd probably be ok.

BAH! Foul with a northern accent would sound stupid! I'd be best!

I can record a chapter no problem. I have a full recording setup at home. I may take a shot later this week and see how it turns out. :D

I think will rule... since reading takes effort... and I can't be bothered with such a thing ;)
