Do you like your job?

Post by Revan »

Seriously... what is your job, and do you like it? I personally hate my job and feel that where I work is the nearest thing to hell on earth... and that the enterance doors to the place I work have knives on either sides of the doors, and I metaphorically cut my wrists very time I walk in... I'm seriously going to die if I don't quit soon.

Heh. Anyway, I'm not working atm, and am reluctant to begin doing so, but I'll probably have to if I want to eat while at university.

He's metaphorically cutting his wrists but he's seriously about to die.....

Darth - no one likes every aspect of their job. There's always things that we have to live with. I would obviously where I could sit around all day and do nothing, while earning the same amount of pay that I do now. If anyone knows of such a job, let me know about it.

I work customer service, and hate it profoundly...

Yet I'm good at it. Figures.

So do I Barad... it really pisses me off that you have to be polite. A mate of mine got fired for hitting a person back when he was hit. Figures as well.

My job is being all that and a bag of chips. I like my job; I'm a professional.

I'm also a lifelong student, a very bad example, and the poet laureate of Rome, Georgia. None of them are as fun as jamming with my friends or mowing the lawn, though. I wish those were paying jobs.

I like my work, and some of the other employees, but I'm not thrilled with the (lack of) management.

I like my job, except for the constant fighting. I manage access, approving and denying applications for development, etc.

I also do modal planning and safety.

I work as an engineer installing, maintaining and servicing scientific equipment.

It's ok on the whole; I enjoy the variety and meeting different people. Working from home can be a bit isolating though, even if it does mean I can goof off a lot! 8)

I stay at home and play on Photoshop and Dreamweaver all day, and get paid for it... what's not to like?

Plus I teach design part-time, which I thoroughly enjoy, and it gets me out of the house.

Lord Revan has my sympathy. It's depressing to be stuck in a thankless, rewardless job.

Do I like my job? Not today, no.

That's too bad you don't like your job. Why do you do it then. And what would you rather do?

I love my job

That's a slightly confusing use of avatar there, Endless Summer.

Indeed! (about the avatar thing)

Do I like my job? My current one, no (same one darth has, incidentaly). It's absolutely totally utterly irretrevabley rubbish.

However, I am in the process of getting a new job, which I hope will be more enjoyable.

If it's what I think it is, I was doing that job when I was your age too
