Discrepency?

Post by Director Dios »

I'm reading The Gap series again...actually I'm reading Forbidden Knowledge at bedtime and Chaos and Order on my lunch break. Anyway, I need some of you scholarly types to help me out. It seems that immediately after the destruction of Billingate, Trumpet and Soar both turn-up at Beakman's Lab in the Massif-5 system. During part of the Narration, we learn the SORUS CHATELAIN has full knowledge that Angus is a welded UMCP Cyborg . . . I don't recall how she came upon that information since NO ONE knew of Angus' true nature until Punisher caught up with Trumpet and flaired Angus' priority codes to Nick. Only then does everyone learn the truth about Angus welding. So someone please remind me again, how she is aware of this and yet no else is...

Okay, this may be a first, but I'm answering my own post! - It came to me in a moment of sheer stupidity.....MILOS - Damn, what a moron! Of course! Milos must have spilled his guts to the Amnion before he mutated. Alright, I'll sleep better tonight now that I think I've figured that out.

Sorus found out about Angus being a cyborg because Milos, bless the blockheaded pillock, was using Angus for an ash tray.
Nick, Angus and the pusillanimous mug all talk in a pub about Morn, Davis, and Milos' money. then Warden, who changed Angus' datacore at the end of the second book, tells Angus he's got to save Morn.
The sadistic and unhinged runt, aka: Milos, told Angus' datacore to not save Morn, but Warden then gives certified loggerheaded gimp a message (recorded into Angus' datacore) saying "Milos, we have lied to you, this misson cannot be altered, your codes still work, you are still able to control Angus. When you get back from your misson, I will explain why I lied to you".
Milos, being the half-wit that he is, blames Angus for something he was programmed to do.
They proceed upstairs, into a private room. and the slightly dim hunchback makes Angus eat nics for two hours, despite the fact that he only smoked them halfway down.
However, the Bill has cameras in every room, and he and Sorus saw Angus having his nic meal.
Sorry about the swearing, it's just I despise the award winning anomalous ponce more than every other character.

I made a slight edit. I prefer self-censoring but Guest posts cannot do that so I figured an edit was in order.....even though it's just about the most common word in the Gap series :)

Tosspot?
"It is not the literal past that rules us, save, possibly, in a biological sense. It is images of the past. Each new historical era mirrors itself in the picture and active mythology of its past or of a past borrowed from other cultures. It tests its sense of identity, of regress or new achievement against that past.โ€

I dunno, the books themselves are so pornographic - is it really necessary to tone down our speech - and ... I never heard the word tosspot before...

<thinks flippin and tosspot are both raucous!! and mild in the extreme

and yes robo I agree that it does seem incongruous to mind our tongues when discussing the Gap .. of all things ..  but we still need to be aware of not offending others who are possessed of more genitle sensibilities ..

I was Guest, I forgot to log in.
I have also made alterations to that post, as it is mine. I have also edited your edit. I coincide that the post was impertinent to the extreme. I apologize for my excessive use of exuberant writing. I agree that you were right to objurgate my use of the word "flippin"; I did not use the connotative word "flippin" is supposed to represent just for the mere sake of assuming I'm โ€œhardโ€ or โ€œcoolโ€; but rather to accentuate the message.
And I was successful. Though the post is still, somewhat, offensive; I reduced the offensiveness of certain words that the members of Kevinswatch will take from the message. However, I chose not to decrease the amount of loathing I possess for Milos.

Yeah I agree - it was Milos informing Sorus of the welded status of Angus.
