Hullo!

I know some folks here are Buffy fans and no doubt bummed over its finale coming up in a few short weeks. Well, some friends of mine are taking up the slack...

bummed doesnt even cut it!! .. when you speak of finale .. you mean season finale? right? .. not like dark and gloomy abisslike end?

Sarah Michelle Geller's contract is up, and she decided not to renew. Why? She says she's very tired and wants the show to go out on top.

*sigh*

They couldn't all agree on a concept for a spinoff in time for next season, so there'll be none until the year after at the soonest. Angel hasn't been officially renewed yet, but rumor says it will be (yayyyyy).

My coat of arms is based on the concept of the Watchers and their relationship with the slayer. The sleepling lion is the Slayer, with the churchbell as the force that will summon/awaken her. The three ravens represent the Watchers themselves. There's also a motto: EXPEDIA EST POTENTIA ("Knowledge is Power").

Which is a major theme of the Virtual series, btw.

I was thinking they could kill off Buffy and redeem Faith .. I could go Faith with the rest of the gang .. with guest spots from Gellar.

Gellar is the numero uno Slayer por moi .. and it'll be real tuff her being gone .. and how dumb is that??? saying she wants to get out while its still fresh .. I could never get sick of Buffy .. never .. well apart from those times she got whiny ..

.. but still I love her!! She's my fav!!

OH god how will I go on .. no really??? I barely survive between seasons!! and bone up on re-runs!

I will just have to buy the entire dvd collection .. ugghh where are duchy's friends when you need them???

Life after Buffy??? I dont think so

Bah, Sky, wouldn't a real Buffy-ite know already the show was ending?!

I admit, I don't watch for the plot. Thought it is sometimes interesting. My favorite character is probably Anya--something uber-cute about a vengeance demon. At least from a Lord Foul's perspective!

not one that lives downunder .. we only just got the last series a few months ago.

and in recent rags following her marriage Gellar stated she would not quit the show for another couple of seasons ..

It has always been rumoured that her days are numbered .. several seasons ago even .. so being a believer .. I readily believed .. only now to be aghast at Zahir's revelation ..

I cannot get by without my daily dose of Buffy .. albeit re-runs .. and ofcourse Angel which we only get twice a week .. but thats on FOX .. on telly .. its only once a week for both .. and we're still watching the closing episodes of the last season .. maybe half way through ..

Its always late getting here .. guess its all that water between us and the US .. that slows down our accessibility!

maybe someone should do something about that .. like .. i dunno .. build a bridge .. perhaps we should move into the northern hemisphere .. we're an island mass .. floating on techtonic plates or some such .. shouldnt be that hard

mmm .. might lobby for affirmative action!!

Will Xander be in the spin- off? As much as I think Buffy is cool and all, I don`t tend to get worked up over girl characters. But she did a lot for the concept of "Girl Power".
I`m gonna miss Xander`s ineffectual goofiness. Goofines in guys is kinda cute.

But having said that, why not go the whole hog and bring Wesley over from Angel... then you`d really have me hooked. Mmmmm yeah, Wesley sure is the way to go.

me .. yeah you're right he is a goof .. has some good lines written for him as the comic .. but sometimes he can be such a wanker .. he is so opinionated always ready with a judgemental appraisal

The whole show is brilliant!! its funny .. kick ass!! .. and clever!!

.. the only really cool male character is Spike!!!! He is cool!@!!

he was the best addition to Buffy ..

as for spin-off's I really do think they could redeem Faith .. she's kick-ass and is just bursting with 'charisma' .. like Cordy was!!!!

I could definitely go a 'Faith' slayer

I heard that Willow wanted to expand her role into the Slayer .. but that could never work ..

I'm rooting for Faith!!!! .. and Giles can be her Watcher ..

Actually, now that you mention it Sky, Spike is kinda cool in that rugged bad boy kinda way - just can`t get past that blond hair - he has a hottish kinda bod.

If I can`t have Xander or Wesley to drool over then I suppose I could make do with Spike.

As for my favourite episode - no single one springs to mind as being more favourite than the other - however I do recall the episode when Buffy died as being rather momentous and I deeply regret missing the episode when she was raised from the dead.

Okay here's the news as it stands now.

Angel will probably be renewed. The season finale is next week and it looks like a real mind-f*ck! Heh heh heh...!

Rumor has it Spike will be joining the cast next season. On Buffy somebody's gonna die--probably Anya or Xander.

There was talk about a Faith spinoff with Eliza Dushku's character as a kind of "Demon Hunter on the Run from the Law" concept. But it that ever happens, it'll be Fall 2004 at the earliest.

Our spinoff, Watchers so far is set around Giles, Willow and Kennedy. They'll be joined by others off and on (provided they survive), as well as some new, original characters. The series is set in Cleveland (where we're told there is another hellmouth) as Giles and Willow attempt to reform the Watcher's Council. Sound interesting? If so, you know where to look!
