What would you rather be?

Post by 10k Gold Wielder »

A Gravelingas or a Lillianrill?

I think I'd rather be a Gravelingas...all those descriptions of loamy smells and newly broken earth really seem comforting. Plus, I'd be stronger than heck! And speaking of which, is there any reference to female Gravelingases in any of the books? All the ones I can remember seem to be men, and I don't know how a Gravelingas "physique" would look on a woman.

Then again, if I were a Lillianrill, I could have one of those cool staffs! What do you guys think?

Lillianrill-I was born a "tree-hugger"... :P (and I would have chosen Baradakas, back in the day--if I wasn't danlo already 8) The high wood rejects you! )

I think I'd want to be Gravelingas, but big like Trell. The idea of tending stone and dirt seems better to me than wood. Plus, how could I possibly become such manly man swinging from trees. Although in war-time it would seem that the Lillianrill was a much more offensive way as we've seen with the defense of Revelstone. But without the support defensive position of the stone-lore there would have been some problems. It would have been nice to see some stone launches by the Gravelings from atop Revelstone laying those wretched urviles to jelly.

I'd be a lillianrill (as if you can't tell from my title!! ;) ) I've always loved forest-y smells and clean wood. I'd prolly want to be lillianrill in Revelstone, because like 10K Gold Wielder said, I like the loamy, rich smell of fresh earth. If I was there I'd be surrounded by all sorts of Gravelingas'.

(I'd also get a really cool staff!!!!) :D

No offense to the masters of stone-lore, but I personally prefer the feel of wood. Unfortunately, I'm also not a fan of heights, so there's no way I'd be climbing up a tree, unless there were kresh snapping at my heels. Er...couldn't we have a ground-based lillianrill? I'll volunteer for that!

I'd almost say Gravelingas, since it's important to me that nobody mistakes me for one of those darn tree-hugging hippies, :x but I think I'd rather be a Hirebrand. They just get all the cool powers!

Free, unfettered, shriven, free
of falling from the tallest tree
or lifting up the heavy stone
I'd just as soon be on my own.

Lillianrill, for me...I'm enamored with the whole idea of living in a tree, for some reason...don't ask :P
