LFB revisited

Post by kastenessen »

I started to read LFB today, it's been 5 years since. And again I was struck by the power, the passion and the beauty of the words that leaves the pages. The layers of meanings behind every sentence and and the way I'm forced to read on. I love it.

By the way, Isn' TCs first meeting with LF already in the first chapter Golden Boy where he sees the old man's, the Creators sign "Beware!"
For an odd moment ,the sign itself seemed to exert a peril over Covenant.Dangers crowded through it to get at him, terrible dangers swam in the air toward him, screaming like vultures. And among them, looking towards him through the screams, there were eyes- two eyes like fangs, carious and deadly. They regarded him with a fixed, cold and hungry malice, focused on him as if he and he alone were the carrion they craved. Malevolence dripped from them like venom...
I was reading through the posts of last years groupread on LFB. Did not see it discussed. Maybe I can catch up with you guys on TIW groupread later on when I'm don with LFB. Or with TPTP

I just did a reread recently too...I completely missed that though...man, how could I miss that?
"Well of course I understand. You live forever because your pure, sinless service is utterly and indomitably unballasted by any weight or dross of mere human weakness. Ah, the advantages of clean living."
