Torture

Post by Worm of Despite »

I'm buying Runes today, but I won't read it until I finished re-reading White Gold Wielder. Currently, I'm on, like, page 140 of the One Tree. Torture, I say!

Torture who? And why does waiting to read Runes make you want to torture?

I fail to feel sorry for you Mr. Despiser. As Dukkha would say, "what goes around..." :P

CJ - Did you not mean to write, "Torture whom?"

:-P

Anyhow, LF if you think this is bad, wait until your 36 month hiatus until Fatal Revenant comes out!

Just get ready to have your socks blown off when you do get a chance to read it!!

All I can say is that it's been hard going to work!

I very nearly did, but I don't like to look like a grammar pedant ;)

Methinks you're not reading it in the right spirit, Lord Foul. The One Tree? Torture? No way!

Sorry, but reading Runes for the first time is better than a re-read of One Tree, personally. Torture, I say, again!

I agree, Foul - The One Tree was pretty difficult the first time round, nevermind on a re-read.

yeah, well, i started Wheel of Time, thinking it had already been completed, and now im waiting on the last 2 or 3 books, and the end is most likely 6 or so years away, depending on how long it takes for Jordan to finish...

and Harry Potter doesnt seem to be ending for another 4 or so years...

and ive waited this long thinking that TCTC were over with, so a few more years wont hurt

Not only are some of the posters 'nuts', but they seem to be straying from the topic.

LTF and LF, I'm with all y'all. Read Runes! I'm almost done it, and I can't wait to tell SRD I'm dying of some exotic disease, just so he'll tell me what ends up happening!!! (just kidding, Steve)

Yeah, I read some of it last night. I'll finish One Tree and WGW after Runes.

I'm not quite tortured, but I can definitely relate.

"Runes" arrived in Melbourne Australia on Saturday, all brilliant and black (UK cover). But my (US cover) copy doesnt arrive until this Thursday when my fiancee's brother arrives from the US with it!

To add to my woe, I'm also only a few chapters into the One Tree on my re-read of the Chrons. But wait, I'm also getting married in less than two weeks! So I'm madly finishing "One hundred Years of Solitude" - a birthday present from the future in-laws - before they arrive.

So 'Runes' will be given to me politely on Thursday, to sit unread on my bookshelf until post-wedding, post-honeymoon, and post TOT and WGW.

Have you considered postponing the wedding?
