Well, I wanted to take a name related to the Chronicles, but not a major character.

At Elohimfest there was a slight variance in the pronunciation of Damelon. I pronounce it with the a sounding like it is in the word dam. Others pronounced the a sounding like in the word dame.

I always pronounce is "Dame-lee-on" in my head... I don't know how I got that :roll:

Wow, Murrin is so obscure that he isn't even referenced directly, only by inference as Odona's husband! Somehow I had the impression Murrin was one of the Bloodguard, then I realized I was confusing him with Morin.

As for my name origin...I think I get the award for Most Stupidly Obvious Movie Reference.

Quisling sees your research has bourne some fruit. Perhaps he has underestimated your resourcefulness.

Nevertheless, the essence of his secret is still intact - although he knows that there are some here who could easily discover it. For there are answers for those who know where to look, and how to interpret what they see.

Perhaps Quisling has already said too much...

Jemcheeta has two elements, the first, Jem, is short for a fantasy name I used to use, Jemax, the second part, cheeta, is short for cheetah of course. It's shortened by habit, because on IRC chat, in the Undernet, the H wouldn't fit.
Jemax was made up on the spot, but Cheeta was specific to the people I was involved with on IRC. They were a kind of wierd breed of furries that wrote and read stories that focused on physical transformations from humans to animals, or somewhere in between.
Let's just say it was a wierd time in my life.
It runs together when you say it, no pause between Jem and Cheeta. Jem is pronounced as gem, or Jem and the holigrams. Cheeta is pronounced as cheetah.
Start where you are,
use what you have,
do what you can.
