OMG Best thing ever...!

Post by fightingmyinstincts »

Ok, so I've been REALLY busy with Vulgate Latin, Koine Greek, Augustine, intervals, what have you...and for a break I've been translating odd bits of the chrons into Latin...it's got some wonderful constructions in it, it's not the bible, and that's all that matters at this point to me. I've told my friends about this, and they wish me good luck as they know how difficult the chrons are, one guy's even read LFB...and after having a minor work related collapse on their floor tonight I decided to go back to my room and work on more SRD-->Latin as opposed to Bible-->English and the guy who HADN"T READ CHRONS AT ALL said as I was leaving, "Do you suffice?" Meaning do I suffice to this project...my immediate response was "Am I a frickin' Haruchai?" and then I caught on it was coincidence and explained my sudden hysteria...it was very serendipitous and funny...

Oh yeah, have Runes, not done yet ; ; must finish work....

Jeez, that sounds like a very ambitious project. What is the latin for 'roynish', anyway?
Q. Why do Communists drink herbal tea?
A. Because proper tea is theft.

keyword here: "selected" bits. Not the entire series, not this semester anyway. Maybe next semester when I don't have a Latin class...I'm careful to select bits that don't have "roynish" in them...it's still difficult, but a lot of SRD words are taken almost straight from Latin.
