, as opposed to the Land, is Linden REALLY dead?

I know she has a scar between her breasts, and expects to have a HUGE scar on her back, yet at no point in her travels does she ask anyone to have a glance at her back to SEE IF THIS SCAR EXISTS. If YOU thought you were dead, wouldn't you want some form of confirmation?

there is the medical bag she lobbed at Roger right by the 'alter' and many trained deputies to administer emergency triage.

...maybe the ring did the ol' "bible in my pocket" routine...or maybe the scar was caused by stone splinters or ...I don't know... just don't understand why she doesn't get confirmation of an exit wound.

I'm 2 chapters from the end, so if she does any of the above in this time, please feel free to ignore.

I don't know. It seemed that, for one reason or another, she was resigned to dying, and so didn't give much thought to the extent of her injuries.

That being said, he'll probebly take Linden and himself with it....
plus I figure that once Linden is reunited with Covenant (It's bound to happen) She won't be willing to leave him again...I doubt if she lives again in the real world.
