When You finish the book you may be perhaps disapointed.

You will not find many answers. Only speculation and angst.

I don't understand? What's to hate about this forum? It says to expect spoilers...until you're finished reading, unless you want to ruin it for yourself, you shouldn't look. I don't understand why anyone would want to.

I quite agree. "Expect spoilers" is in the name of the forum. Don't want spoilers? Don't read. I didn't.

Ah, silly rabbits . . . I wasn't referring to spoilers; rather, my statement was a convolution of, "I can't wait to finish Runes in order to discuss it here." If anything, I'm excited this forum is here, and I'm simply frustrated that I can't participate in it yet. Well, that'll change--nearing page 300.

Well then, talk about mixed messages. But good?

If you have a problem with this forum, stay away, it's hardly difficult. Stop whining! :P!

I read this forum several times per day, and the spoilers do not bother me. However, I do believe that some people have a legitimate gripe about the posting of thread titles that contain spoilers. But what really irritates me is that no one seems patient enough to read threads. Most people would rather start a new thread instead of participating in an ongoing discussion.

I sincerely want to read everyone's opinioins about Runes, but the repitition is annoying.

Subjective.

I was being wry (I think), but if you perceive whining, alright. Not that I'm going to stop. ;)

For someone fairly new to the Watch there are literally hundreds upon hudreds of posts. I have read through many of them and I didnt see much in regards to the recent topic I opened, so sorry if it annoyed you. But instead of spending the time writing a post like this, you could just write where the postings are, or even just ignore it. It takes a lot of time to read through every post and maybe some want to particpate before they have finished.

Yes, it does take time to read through every thread. There's a lot of information here. Watch members should be sensitive of that.

You both are absolutely correct, of course. I wrote my earlier post while drudging around in real life blues, and my frustrations carried over.

Please accept my apologies.

What I personally found annoying was that I had to stay away from this forum until I had FINISHED Runes to avoid spoilers. No, I didn't really have to do that. I would have loved to start reading threads in here after reading just a chapter or two. But most (all?) thread titles only say spoiler, not as I wouldn't preferred it, ie "Spoiler for Chapt 5" or something.
MAJOR irritation when I knew that there were threads in here I could read and participate in, but didn't dare to check out cause I didn't know which ones included spoilers from the last chapters.

Bleh. :P

To me, walking into a spoiler forum is akin to flipping to the last page of the book.

Ditto.

I think a bigger problem is that when some people visit the Watch one of the first things they do is click the button on the first page that shows them which threads have had posts added to them since their last visit. So even if they are avoiding this forum, they are still getting some spoilers (or what they think might be spoilers ;) ) just from the names of the threads.

I know that there is at least one person who's pretty upset with that.

I'm just glad I'm finished so I no longer have to avoid anything. :D
Love as thou wilt.
