A congratulatory post for some at the Watch

Post by ur-bane »

Forgive me for placing this thread here, but its content is inspired by discussions within this Runes forum, and I saw no "Off Topic" area for this post.
If moderators feel it is inappropriate for its content and location, I apologise.

But to the point, I would like to extend huge congratulations to several of the Watch's members who have both entertained and enlightened all of us with their discussion.
My thanks go out to Variol Farseer and Burgs66. I have not the knowledge base nor the literary experience to partake in the discussions themselves, but both of these members inspire thinking beyond the norm, and greatly increase the credibility and enjoyment of the Watch, and further enhance the experience of reading SRD as well.

I think we can all agree that they bring a very pronounced wit and an adult quality of discussion that we can all enjoy and from which we can learn.

Those are two people that have stuck out in my mind after having read the recent Runes topics. Most everybody here at the Watch is intelligent and accepting toward others, and for that I am grateful.
This is a wonderful community, and its members are of an esteemed class and caliber.
Thank You and Congratulations!

Excerpt from Animal Songs Never Written
"Hey, dad," croaked the vulture, "what are you eating?"
"Carrion, my wayward son."
"Will there be pieces when you are done?"

It is better to be thought a fool than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt.

Meh. After my altercation with Idlewilder, I expect to be thrown out of here in very short order. While I am touched by your compliments, I feel strongly that I do not deserve them, and wish that you would offer them instead to someone who does.

I am sorry if that sounds brusque or offensive. I don't mean it to, but apparently I am no judge of such matters.
