Urgent assistance needed... a Question....

Post by Zasha »

It has been some time since I have read the Chronicles of Thomas Covenant. Nearly two decades. Time to re-read them before I embark on Runes of the Earth!

I write today with an urgent question that has been vexing me for a week now. My copies of the books are lent out at present so I searched on the internet for the answer to my question but have been unsuccessful. Perhaps you can help me?

I seek the name of the secret underground cave where the animals were cared for to preserve them.

Does anyone know the answer?

Thank you for your time.

Hmmmm - I've looked but I cannot find a specific name for the cavern that you are referring to.

Each Waynhim community was called rhysh - a gathering of two or more rhysh was called a rhyshyshim. Is that what you're referring to?

Welcome to the Watch, by the way!

...actually Jay's right! It's merely refered to as a cave, gardens and a zoo. I thought it was something fancy like the rhysh-warren... :? Weird? :P

Danlo, don't you mean 'Wurd' with two little dots over the 'u'?

:-)

I think that your answer may lie within White Gold Wielder - Winter In Combat.
(I don't have my books with me right now, so I cannot look up what I would like to.)

Hope this helps.
Have you hugged your arghule today?

Actually the 'zoo' was mentioned in "The Wounded Land"... But the 'zoo' itself did not have a name, just the secret caves thmselves were named.

Yes we do see the Cave in TWL, but we see the Waynhim who occupied it again in WGW, when one of the little chaps tells TC of the story behind their reasons for leaving it. This happens in the far north when the fight the Arguleh.

There was no name.. it was a "zoo" occupied by Hamako's rhysh.
