Though I hope the never acctually make a TC movie, whne I read the books I always picture this one acter as Covenant.
John Laraquet. (sp)
Yes, he's comedic actor (Dan, from Night Court in case anyone doesn't know). He did however have his own short lived darker sit-com, in which he showed forth his acting abilities. He has a nice deep voice, and can have a very serious face, with that fanatical look. From the first time I read Lord Fouls Bane, he is what I pictured TC to look like.
I'm sorry, Jon Bon Jovi? Maybe in a Terry Brooks movie...kind of simaler, one keeps writting the same book over and over again, the other keeps writting the same song over and over agian.

Sorry, but it had to be done. Service enables service, and all...
Oh, and as comedic actors have a track record of success in dramatic roles - How about Robin Williams as Saltheart? Whoever takes the role on is likely to be buried in latex and CGI, his face is about the right shape, and he can communicate compassion, confusion, and humor with his eyebrows alone.
Kevin Spacey voicing Foul has also appealed to me. Close your eyes during one of his rants in American Beauty, maybe you'll hear a bit of what I mean.

I always saw Covenant as Kevin Spacey.
"Fortunate circumstances do not equate to high ideals."
"Mostly muffins sir."- My answer in response to the question posed by the officer, "Son, do you have anything on you I should know about?"
His response: "Holy $&!^. He's not kidding! Look at all these muffins!"

I'm casting my vote for the role of Covenant to go to...

You know who'd be graet for TC?
Me!
Although I have no acting experience.
...And chances are when it came to that scene, I'd keep saying, "No, Lena, in fact I don't want to see the bridge by the river, I think I'll just pack it in early tonight (yawn) Got a big day tomorrow!"

I thought you were a ripe grape
a cabernet sauvignon
a bottle in the cellar
the kind you keep for a really long time
